Now that you have had the opportunity to work with both GarageBand and Reason, explain the similarities and the differences you have discovered between the two programs. Also, tell me which program you like best so far AND why?

well both have loops and are capable of recording external instruments, as well as having their loops catagorized by the genre that they belong to...i like garage band more just because its easier to me with finding things at certain tempos and have a set sound
One similarity that Reason and GarageBand has is that they both have loops that can be used. They also have a great array of instuments. However, GarageBand has a larger variety of loops for each instrument compared to Reason's one or two. Therefore, GarageBand is better for those who depend on the loops to make songs. Reason, on the other hand, makes it a lot more convenient to create your own loops. The quantize option is very accurate, and often makes the song the best it can be. GarageBand, on the other hand, does allow quantizing, but it has to be done manually. Furthermore, quantizing manually on GarageBand is very difficult, and often off-beat.
Some similarities are that they both use loops and can be used with electric pianos and synthesizers. Garage band is less complicated and reason is more advanced and has more options of what you can do. I like Reason and Garage band both equally
gargeband and resaon both use loops and let you make songs your self but grage band is has more loops and is more speard out in the kind of music that can be found in it. reason is more for advanced music players who like composeing songs useing synthesizers and other devices. also reason less loops but you can play more diffrent sounds. i like grage band more then the cuyrrent softeware we are using in class
The similarities in Reason and Garage Band are that you can make music and you can load up different things into your song. The differences they have are that with Reason you can do more things like adding distortion and recording in things to your song with the piano. You also have better sounds to choose from to make your song. I like Reason more because you can make some really cool hip hop beats with it.
After working with Reason and Garageband, I have experinced two veery different programs. While the both are used for musci productions, Reason seems like a much more sophisticated and complicated program. Garageband seems like an easier program used for making basic tracks and podasts. Reason is used to make all types of beats and involves many more options and ways to improve your song and music. I prefer using Reason because there is so many nore things that you can do and add to your tracks and beats.
i like garage band because its easier with reason its to hard to get a beep or a bass thats why i like garage band
im like mthem both they are both v ery cool .i like reason to make your bass then do the rest.reason kind of like frity lops but way Way BETTER.garageband is ccool cause u see evey thing clearly in cool and in bars.and ist very easy to use and lean .well i lkie them both
Both programs have their ups and downs.
For example, Reason has it's own "create your own" kind of thing to it, you can be unique, and if you have some kind of "flow" to your piece of work, the music is beautiful.
Garageband may have this kind of option, but it is very limited. But this is made up because of the variety of loops and sounds that are default.
One thing that bothers me if the layout and skins that Reason has, it looks very plain, and confusing, it needs to be more presentable for people to use it quickly without having to look at the actual synthesizers carefully. On the other hand, Garageband is simple, as you can modify your music easily.
Thus, in my opinion, Garageband is my preferred program.
The Reason program and the Garageband program are similar because they both let you explore and expirement with music. They both also let you use loops already programmmed into it. Personally, i favor Garageband because its much more simpler to use in terms of organizing and selecting loops. If you want to go more in-depth with exploring and adding a unique sound to your custom loops, use Reason.
- Some of the similarities of Propellerhead Reason and Apple Garageband are that they both use loops and a variety of effects including delay and reverb. Now, the differences are that Garageband is way more simple and has an easier interface that enables you to learn the program faster and be more comfortable with it. Propellerhead Reason has more of a 'pro' look to it. Reason has a real-life interface, making it more realistic and of course, harder if you don't know how to work real devices. Reason has a variety of effects and features Garageband doesn't have. This including a drum machine (ReDrum), mixers, or virtual sequencers (Matrix). I like both programs but since I have more familiarity with Garageband, I prefer that. I understand that Reason is a more advanced software and that, combined with Garageband can make great pieces of artwork.
i like both of the programs but garage band has easier loops and is easier to work.
garage band and reason both have loops and u can record real instruments into the programs.
Personally I like GarageBand better because its easier to use overall. Reason is a little more harder to explore the loops farer and do more with them while GarageBand is more limited to the things that you can do. In reason you have more tools to make you music or alter your loops. You can almost do anything in Reason. In GarageBand their is a larger variety of loops and instruments.teamzag3
Both programs are very similar in the aspect that they can pretty much do the same thing. They both have programs that do some of the same things such as reverb, dynamics, and . I belive garage band has a more user friendly layout and more loops. Reason is easier to use and is more realistic. if i had to choose one it would be reason because i love everything about it.
Hello. This post is likeable, and your blog is very interesting, congratulations :-). I will add in my blogroll =). If possible gives a last there on my blog, it is about the Notebook, I hope you enjoy. The address is http://notebooks-brasil.blogspot.com. A hug.
Reason is a way more powerful program simply because of the samplers and the synths. The NN-XT is the coolest sampler ever, and you can use any loop you can imagine. You can make the coolest sounds ever on them. Garageband feels so limited to me, I am used to having several automation lanes for each instrument and infinite control over anything I can think of. I feel like I am trying to play a guitar with my fingers tied when I use Garageband. I have the feeling that most Reason users haven't read the manual extensively, and have no idea how powerful the program is.
